
A robust and transparent governance framework has been established for SQIDEP.
Governance Panel
The Governance Panel consists of independent, experienced professionals and will oversee the process to ensure probity, equity and dispute resolution, where necessary.
Governance Panel members include:
Mr Andrew Swindells (BA, LLB, LLM) – experience as Executive Director of a Public Company, Business Consultant, Barrister, Sessional member QCAT & CCT, Victoria Mining Warden, Counsel Assisting and Executive Legal Officer Crime & Misconduct Commission, and dispute resolution/mediation expert.
Professor Veeriah Jegatheesan (Jega)(B.Sc.Eng. Hons, M.Eng., PhD) - experienced academic and water/wastewater/resource recovery/novel & hybrid technologies expert, Director Water Effective Technologies & Tools Centre RMIT, and former consultant to Sydney Water.
Dr Robert Gale (B.Sc.Hons., M.Sc., MPA, PhD) - Director Stormwater Australia, sustainability, corporate sustainability reporting, circular economy design, lecturer, policy economist.
Ms Kaia Hodge (B.Sc.Hons, M.Env.St., Grad.Dip.Mngmt) - Director Regulatory Innovation, Natural Resources Access Regulator (NSW), senior roles with Sydney Water, Former Chair of Water Services Assoc Adaptive Planning and Integrated Water Management Network, Board member on Hawkesbury Nepean Catchment Mngmt Trust.

Independent Evaluation Panel (IEP)

Submissions will be independently assessed by 2 Auditors from the Independent Evaluation Panel (IEP) for verification of Claims. Auditors will be selected based on their responses to the Expression of Interest, the submitted technology and relevant selection criteria including disclosure of conflicts of interest.
The auditors will undertake their reviews separately, and then confer to provide a joint evaluation. Non-conformances with SQIDEP and issues with performance claims will be discussed with the applicant prior to finalisation issuing of a Verification Certificate.

Technical Review Panel
A Technical Review Panel (TRP) has been formed to regularly assess the criteria of the SQIDEP protocol and emerging science, research and industry findings to improve the outcomes of the SQIDEP process and confidence in environmental outcomes of stormwater technologies.
The Technical Review Panel replaces the previous SQID Advisory Committee, and the scheduled review is underway.
Membership was invited by a public Expression of Interest process and key stakeholders previously involved in the consultation process.
